Boat Inspections are available for those in need of a Safety Sticker!

Capt. Larry Bruck will come onboard and inspect your vessel to be sure that you have everything
you need to be safe on the river. This is something that everyone should do. A Certificate will be issured to
the boat owner and can be displayed on your windshield.

Dates will be posted for Spring 2012 Courses
New York State Boating Safety Course - 8 Hrs.

Anyone who operates a Jet-ski, is require by NYS Law to have a Boating Certificate with a jet-ski endorsement.

Ages 18 & under, must have a boating certificate to operate a boat.
Adults do not need a boating certificate yet to operate a boat. But, we are encouraging everyone to get your certiicate now.
You will be grandfathered in when it does become law.

Most Coast Guard Auxiliary Courses & NY Boating Safety Courses cost $10 for adults and free for kids.

Ulster County BOCES is offering 8-hr. Safety Courses. Cost about $60.
Check with their Registration Office for schedule.

Power Squadron courses cost about $65 for the full course that includes plotting and navigating.
Check with Ulster Community College for their fees.

Insurance Discount may apply.
Boating Certificates issued upon completion of course and they are good for life.
